HEADING OUT & HEADING IN
Straight after the Eurocon 09 after a sunday church servis we got into an old Ford Mondeo car and started to head southward toward the Balkans. Me, my wife (Eva), P.Gary Groenewold and my 20months old daughter Elizabeta went on a faith venture that day. We went down there because we saw the treasure in darkness. We saw the value of a great price. We saw the value of a soul and thus moved and compelled by the love of God, the wheels started to turn.
We were heading out for Serbia, not knowing what we are heading into.
CROSSING THE BORDERS
After paying a 110EUR insurance fee at a Hungarian/Serbian border at Subotica, we arrived at the evening to a Serbian capital city Beograd (White Fortress). In Beograde, we got a hotel room in a hotel called Beograde, and went out to spy out the country. We've done it already before when we visited Beograde with P.Chris Moore, P.G.Arman & brother Ben Tanguay 3yrs ago. Immediatelly I've got the same feeling of Serbia being an open country. 5 young muslims, after showing them the Abraham's Lamb sacrifice in the scriptures, prayed with us the salvation prayer. We walked the streets, we talked to people, we prayed to God. Another young man agreed to meet us next morning before his school for a cup of coffee. And another man had a looong talk with us about Jesus Christ. Suddenly one of the 5 muslim guys showed up from nowhere, approched us and said:

"Hey, I am really interested about your God, can we meet again?"
Almighty God got us into the country & God through us got His Word into the peoples hearts. We knew when we were going to sleep that we've got through, that we've trully crossed the borders that night and we could not wait for next morning.
YOU SHALL DRINK THE CUP
Next morning we got into a Beograde city center Cofee place at 9AM.
Bojan has brought his friend Zoran and we had amazing time around the Word of God. We've also learned much of religious Serbian history full of bloody wars, deep woods ancient monasteries, wide spread superstition and beliefs in innumerable miracles,
Mary appearances and hosts of saints.
But God...His grace...His Finished Work...
No weapon that is formed against (this) shall prosper...
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD (Isa 54:17).
Zoran and Bojan are great young men that we will be praying for and we cant wait to see them again.
This mission was an overflow of God's grace everywhere we went. We've seen God in action there. We've seen God touching people's lives. We've seen God changing their destinies. We've seen God doing real miracles. Emptied but full we went home with the prayer to come back one day again.
Great thanks belongs mainly to my wife as she managed to undergo this faith-venture joyfuly while having to cope with crazy ideas of me & p.Gary. Great thanks belongs also to my daughter Elizabeta as she never cried more that was necessary. Great thanks belongs to p.Gary as he survived many Elizabeta's diperchanges while we traveled in a car. Last thanks belongs to you all, who supported us one or the other way and who prayed for this trip.
