Dear friends, here are short news about our trip to Serbia-Belgrade which took place this past weekend (8-10.IV.2016).
This time, Jakub Jelinek, a young man from Prague church went with us to see and "taste" the Balkans and to help in bringing the gospel to a hungry nation. We did not brake our "tradition" and upon our arrival we ate burek as usual at a local bakery at 4AM. After that we went to sleep for couple of hours before we hit the street with the gospel.
I felt like little Samuel when he slept by the ark (1.Samuel 3) because the room where we slept was stacked with 1000 New Testament Serbian Bibles which were ready to be given out to people.
The following morning we went to the city and spent 6hours of evangelizing on the streets of Belgrade.
By the Orthodox temple we saw a young man who kissed the doorpost when entering the temple. He did the same when leaving the temple and bowed and kisses the doorposts again. I could not resist to go to speak with this "religious Nicodemus" and our conversation ended up in he giving me his phone number to stay in touch.
Another event was that we witnessed to two young man and after we explained them the way of salvation they said: "No man ever spoke like this with us ever before."
The response is great and we can see it happen. We can see with our eyes of faith church being planted, people being saved and freed from religious bondage. We can see by faith families restored, diciples made, missionaries sent. Don’t you see it? It's springing up.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; Don’t you see it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. [ISA43:19]
We also have met with of our Serbian friends for a short Bible study over a cup of coffee. How many cups of coffee we drank that day I can’t tell, but he stayed with us for four hours straight. People are spiritually hungry and our hands are full. Freely we have received and freely we have given. It was great time when Christ was revealed and lifted up.
Thank you all for your prayers and please continue to pray for the Balkans and God's plan on our lives as we will be moving to Serbia - Belgrade this summer in the end of July.
On
our way back we stayed with p.Dragan in Vienna church for Bible class and
church service that night and I can tell you that we all have greatly rejoiced
in what God is doing in the Balkans.
