Serbia Belgrade Mission trip – October 2015

We have entered the Balkan soil again, this time for 3day mission trip (Friday – Sunday). We drove from Prague to Serbia, Belgrade together with p.Dragan to meet our old contacts and also to make new.

We kept in mind Nehemiah and his words:,

Neh 2:11  So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.
Neh 2:12  And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem (Belgrade):
Neh 2:17  Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem (Belgrade and Serbia) lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall (of doctrine) of Jerusalem (Belgrade and Serbia),

Little did we know, that these places have already been walked by p.Schaller and that he had a Bible studies there in a farm house next to a pig farm in November 2000. We visited this place and I took a picture of this house. If you were there at that time also, let me know, please, and pray for this city, for this region, and for these people.

November 2000

There was not a day we would not do a street evangelism. We talked to people at different occasion, at shops, at walking zones, parks etc. The response was great as always and we talked to many people that day. Out there on the streets you realize how rich we are and that there is a power in the gospel message that we could see in action.

2Co6:10  As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

And why we do it? Because we have been given the key of David. For God has opened the heavenly treasures to us and He also opened a great and effectual door before us.

“…behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it:” Revelation 3v8
“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, …” I.Cor16v9

The question is …will you walk through it? Will you walk that door? And we said, yes, we will.
As we entered the Balkan soil and different parts of Belgrade in humility of tears, we believe, we are (and we will be) bringing many sheaves with us.

Psa 126:6  He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

We visited also Belgrade district called Zemun, which is infamously known as gypsy settlement. Belgrade itself has approx. 90+ such settlements, hosting over 100 thousand romi people. Our friend from there, gypsy Pastor E., told us, that no church works with these people. Yet, we did.
These people are hidden treasure, a pearl of great price. This is how we see it and we are thankful to God for giving us these eyes and for opening these doors. Yes, these places are difficult and dirty, but they are soo open. Will you walk that door?

Next day we did soulwinning on the streets again. I was equipped with different literature and gospel tracts in English, Serbian, and Arabic language, because I knew, we will be meeting some refugees over there. The difficult part with refugee camps is, that some are well protected, and access to them is denied.

Nevertheless God has redeemed this by giving us a group of Turks, which we evangelized standing on a tombstone of Vuk Karadzic*.
I felt like John Wesley preaching from his father´s tombstone. It was not planned, it just happened, as we were taking pictures of this sight, group of Arabs showed up, and I did not want to miss this opportunity to pass by me, so I did preach about the Abraham and his sacrifice on mount Moriah, which depicts our LORD Jesus Christ. This moment was so significant and I believe God is giving us these precious moments if we step out in faith, if we walk that door.

During these 3 days we have met many people there for a coffee & Bible time and paper does not allow us to write all the details of these amazing meetings. The heaven itself will tell one day even more from the amazing heavenly book of remembrance.

Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. (Malachi 3:16)

In Him,
Pastor Tomas and Eva Bulicek
